Small Business Drives Our Economy!

The Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with The Honor State Bank and the Hagerty Family, recognizes the importance of small business to northern Michigan.

Northern Michigan is known as a Mecca for many things - outdoor recreation, shopping, entertainment, landscape beauty, and much more. Yet, our region is also driven by the diverse small businesses that choose to do business here. Our region's small businesses are racing to the finish line creating new ideas, technological advances, cultural awareness, and ultimately new jobs! It is this combination of quality of life and innovation that makes this region the perfect foundation on which to build a business community that drives our economy.

In January over 200 businesses were nominated for the 2007 Hagerty Small Business of the Year Award. During a very difficult decision making process and after the Candidate's Showcase the judges narrowed down the applicants to The Top 10. Great Lakes Trim, LLC was honored to be named among the top ten finalists.

These Top 10 businesses were examined closely by the judges panel via personal site visits, a question and answer session at the Meet The Top 10 Breakfast followed by several judges meetings to determine which one of the outstanding businesses deserved the 2007 Hagerty Small Business of the Year Award.
